Groundwater Resource Investigation Request for Platting Purposes
CUWCD works in partnership with County and Municipal authorities who have political oversight on the development and approval of proposed subdivisions within the political boundaries of Bell County. The District provides a groundwater resource investigation and analysis as required for subdivision platting purposes.
Groundwater Resource Investigation Request Form
CUWCD will complete a groundwater resource investigation as a part of the platting process. The investigation will evaluate the status of existing wells, wellhead condition, and will determine if plugging is required before final approval of the proposed plat and subdivision. If the development intends to have the wells maintained and operational for the subdivision, the District will review the legal process for appropriate permitting under CUWCD Rules and Chapter 36 Texas Water Code and advise all parties on the feasibility.
This form, mandated by Section 49.452 of the Texas Water Code, is a required disclosure for Texas real estate transactions ensuring that potential buyers are aware of the property’s location within a special taxing or assessment district.
