Middle Trinity Aquifer Water Level Changes
Reports by District constituents and local well drillers indicated water levels within the Middle Trinity aquifer (in particular, the Hensell sand) were declining at a relatively rapid rate. These reported declines were creating a burden on local aquifer users due to necessary lowering or replacing of pumps in order to continue obtaining needed water supplies. To quantify the amount of water level decline and determine where declines were the greatest, we conducted an evaluation of the water levels collected from wells completed in the Middle Trinity aquifer during 2006, 2010, 2013, and 2014.
