DESCRIPTION:NOTICE OF ENCUMBRANCE HEARING & PERMIT HEARING OF THE CLEARWATER UNDERGROUND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT \nNotice is hereby given that the Board of Directors for the Clearwater Underground Water Conservation District will conduct a hearing on three Applications for Permits as described below at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday\, March 12\, 2025\, in the Clearwater UWCD Board Room located at 640 Kennedy Court\, Belton\, Texas\, in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act. \nThe hearing will be conducted on the following applications: \n\n\n\nApplicant’s File Number/Name\nPermit Applicant/Holder and Landowner\nLocation of Well/Wells\nProposed Annual Groundwater Withdrawal Amount & Purpose of Use\n\n\n\n\nDrilling Permit Hearing related to:\nWell #\nN3-25-001P\nSalado I.S.D.c/o Ted Smith \n601 N. Main Street\nSalado\, TX 76571 \n(254) 947-6901\nWell # N3-25-001P \nThe proposed new well will be completed to the Middle Trinity Aquifer and equipped with a maximum 2-inch column pipe at a maximum pumping rate of 100 gallons per minute. The proposed well will be located in the Stillhouse Hollow Management Zone on the 54.69-acre tract located at 3689 Williams Rd\, Salado\, TX 76571. \nLatitude 30.96579º\nLongitude -97.54327º\nThe proposed new irrigation well would be aggregated into a two-well system with an existing operating permit not to exceed 21.41 acre-feet or 6\,976\,470 gallons per year\, at a maximum pumping rate of 100 gallons per minute. The wells are located in the Edwards BFZ Management Zone on contiguous tracts of land (PID 102187 and PID 102190) totaling 45.593 acres\, at 575 Salado School Rd\, Salado\, TX 76571.\nAn operating permit of 1.5 acre-feet per year is being contemplated for three existing wells (N3-23-006G\, N3-23-007G\, N3-23-008G). These permits would be aggregated with the current 1.5 acre-feet per year HEU permit and 0.71 acre-feet per year operating permit for a total of 6.71 acre-feet or 2\,186\,463 gallons per year as a four-well aggregated system to produce groundwater for irrigation of the Salado ISD student athletic fields.\n\n\nOperating Permit Hearing related to: \nWell #\nN3-25-002P\nSession Harrell & Amber Dankert9652 Stinnett Mill Rd\nSalado\, TX 76571(254) 421-2707\n \nWell # N3-25-002P \nThe existing well will be completed to the Edwards BFZ Aquifer and are equipped with a maximum 1¼ -inch column pipe at a maximum pumping rate of 10 gallons per minute. The well is located in the Edwards BFZ Management Zone on a 3.6-acre tract located at 9652 Stinnett Mill Rd\, Salado\, TX 76571. \nLatitude 30.970194º\nLongitude -97.502353º\nRequest for an operating permit on an existing well\,\nN3-25-002P to authorize the withdrawal from the Edwards BFZ Aquifer for domestic use not to exceed 1.0 acre-feet or 325\,581 gallons per year.\n\n\n\nThe application for an operating permit for an existing exempt well would authorize the applicant to operate within the Clearwater Underground Water Conservation District\, in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the application\, subject to board deliberation and approval with potential limits and special provisions. A person wishing to submit a Contested Case Hearing Request\, as it relates to the proposed Operating Permit\, under District Rule 6.10.15(d)\, who is unable to appear at the hearing on the date and time set forth above\, must also file a motion for continuance with CUWCD demonstrating good cause for the inability to not appear. \nThe Applications for Permit and Permit Amendments\, if granted\, would authorize the permit holder to operate wells within the Clearwater Underground Water Conservation District according to the terms and conditions set forth in the permit.
