Evaluation of Possible Management Zones for the Edwards (BFZ) Aquifer

The purpose of this investigation is to assess the potential for Edwards Balcones Fault Zone (“BFZ”) Aquifer Management Zones. Currently, there are four Trinity Aquifer Management Zones. These Trinity Aquifer Management Zones were delineated based on distinct hydrogeologic conditions, requiring different management strategies for each zone. Spatial changes in aquifer hydraulics, water levels, and water quality were evaluated to determine whether conditions warranted zones with specific management rules for the Edwards (BFZ) Aquifer.
