NOTICE OF THE MEETING OF THE CLEARWATER UNDERGROUND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT

Notice is hereby given that the above named Board will hold a Workshop and Board meeting on Friday,
November 18, 2016 beginning at 1:30 p.m., in the Clearwater UWCD Board Room located at 700 Kennedy Court, Belton, Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed¹.

 

Workshop:

1. Receive in information on staff risk management and health care coverage for 2017.

Board Meeting:

1. Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.
2. Public comment².
3. Approve minutes of the October 14, 2015 Board meeting.
4. Discuss, consider and take appropriate action if necessary to accept the monthly financial report for Oct 2016 (FY17) as presented.
5. Discuss, consider and take appropriate action if necessary to accept the monthly Investment Fund account report as presented.
6. Discuss, consider and take appropriate action if necessary to approve the line item amendments to the FY16 Budget as requested.
7. Discuss, consider and take appropriate action if necessary to close out FY16 Budget year as presented.
8. Discuss, consider and take appropriate action if necessary to approve the FY17 line item budget amendments as requested.
9. Discuss, consider and take appropriate action if necessary on the proposed Optional Employee Benefits Coverage for staff.
10. Discuss, consider and take appropriate action if necessary on the request to extend the current Drilling permit for the City of Troy to the Hosston layer of the Trinity Aquifer.
11. General Manager’s Report concerning office management and staffing related to District Management Plan³.
12. Receive monthly report and possible consideration and Board action on the following:³
    1. Drought Status Reports
    2. Education Outreach Update
    3. Monitoring Wells
    4. Rainfall Reports
    5. Well Registration Update
    6. Aquifer Status Report & Non-Exempt Monthly Well Production Reports
13. Public Advisory Committee Comments³.
14. Director comments and reports³.
15. Discuss agenda items for next meeting.
16. Set time and place for next meeting
17. Adjourn

³No formal action will be taken by the Board on these agenda items.  These items are on the agenda to provide the District’s staff, Public Advisory Committee, and Directors with an opportunity to bring to the public’s and each other’s attention important activities and issues pertinent to the management of groundwater within the District, including, but not limited to, current events in the District involving groundwater, wells, or District permittees, state or regional developments related to water management, and activities of the staff, Public Advisory Committee, and Directors.  Substantive deliberation and formal action on any of these issues will be conducted pursuant to a specific item on a future agenda.
